Welcome to Science!

I am looking forward to a great year with your child. We have so many exciting things to cover as well as experiment with. The various topics we will be studying through out the school year will be:

Life Science
Physical Science
Earth Science
Measurement
Experimentation and Design

We will also work in the Science Lab in order to enforce what was taught during our classroom experience. Please assist your child with all homework or projects issued throughout the year. I will send home various announcements for upcoming events in science. Vocabulary will be tested weekly.

I would like to inform you of the materials needed for the science classroom and lab experience:
• Composition Notebooks (Science Journal – I will keep in the class)
• Science Folder with brads (Student will know the color)
• Personal Stapler with staples
• Clear tape, glue
• Color pencils
• Color paper
• Hand sanitizer and Hand soap


5th Grade

Mrs. Hunter's class will be - Yellow
Mr. Maddox class will be - Green
Mr. Polky's class will be - Blue
